Strength Shop Compact Throwing Sandbag – 1050D Cordura

The Strength Shop Compact Throwing Sandbag is designed for explosive strongman-style training. With a capacity of approximately 14 kg, this compact version features a smaller pure rubber handle, and a narrower, shorter design compared to our standard Throwing Sandbag. This makes it easier to swing, reduces contact with the floor, and is especially well-suited for athletes with smaller frames — including juniors. Bigger athletes will enjoy the fast handling as well.

Use it for bag toss, one- or two-handed, over height or for distance — or even into targets. It can also substitute for a kettlebell, making it a versatile tool for warm-ups or power-focused sessions. Throwing motions drill triple extension, making it excellent for developing power and explosiveness.

Made from 100% Nylon 1050D Cordura, the bag is highly durable, double-layered (outer shell + inner liner), triple-stitched, and secured with a 100% nylon Velcro filler flap and YKK zipper. Like all soft goods, it will eventually show wear after long service and should be kept away from sharp surfaces.

Filling

Easy to load with dry, kiln-dried sand, which allows accurate weight and maximum density. Shaking and levelling the sand during filling helps it settle properly.
 Alternative fillers like rubber crumb or metal shot will change the final weight.
