AIREX Balance Pad Elite

The AIREX® Balance-pad Elite is an advanced evolution of the proven Balance-pad, designed to elevate balance training, rehabilitation and functional movement. Featuring a distinctive waffle texture on both the upper and lower surfaces, the Balance-pad Elite offers reliable slip resistance while delivering gentle sensory stimulation to the foot receptors during barefoot training.

With a thickness of 6 cm, the pad creates an optimal level of instability that challenges balance, coordination and joint stability. The soft yet supportive AIREX® foam continuously engages the neuromuscular system, encouraging the activation of deeper stabilising muscles that are often underutilised during conventional exercises. This makes it an effective tool for improving postural control, proprioception and overall movement quality.

The standard AIREX® Balance-pad features a smooth surface and is ideal for those new to barefoot balance training. It provides the same 6 cm destabilising effect, prompting the body to constantly adapt in order to maintain balance and joint alignment. This results in greater muscular engagement compared to training on stable ground. Due to the smooth surface, slip resistance on polished floors may be reduced. For optimal safety and performance, the use of an AIREX® exercise mat underneath is recommended.

Intended purpose

AIREX® products are designed as movement therapy aids for both professional and home use. When placed on the floor, they provide a supportive base for medically indicated and prescribed exercises aimed at improving balance, motor control and postural stability. They are suitable for therapeutic movement programmes addressing muscle weakness in the limbs and trunk resulting from neurological or orthopaedic conditions, as well as for preventative training and functional rehabilitation.
